second encounter... a plausible denial?

Things continue to go well with this special girl I first saw on Friday night. Today was my previously vaunted going away lunch... That nobody went to. One coworker called in sick, another left early citing an ulcer.. And yet another couldn't go because he had to pick up the slack from the other two. So it ended up just being me and her.

Which, of course, was great.

I took her to the cheesecake factory for lunch (mostly because we were passing it and decided to go there... she is fully vegetarian, so I was a bit nervous about what we could get, and I knew the cheesecake factory has plenty of dishes that are vegetarian compatible). We took about a two hour lunch total... We talked, talked, and talked.. And ate of course. It was a grandiose time. We briefly spoke of hanging out this weekend (which she wants to do, but she is housesitting for her parents while they are on vacation and isn't sure she can be away for very long because of all the animals her parents own)... But in any case, I think things will work out because honestly I think she wants them to as much as I do. It's good.

Things are great. I like this girl, we are hitting it off very well. Even if it doesn't work it teaches me an important lesson: I can be happy dating other girls.
